Who Will Build the Roads
Without government, who will build the roads? Apparently pizza deliverers:
Domino’s Pizza ($DPZ) is filling in potholes in towns across the U.S. with a new ‘”Paving for Pizza” initiative. The American pizza chain announced on Monday that it will help “smooth the ride home” for deliveries by making pothole repairs in towns nominated by their customers.
Statists seem to think that roads are the ace up their sleeve. As far as they know, only an entity is bloated as government is capable of laying pavement down. However, laying down pavement isn't rocket science and many companies rely on roads. Domino's Pizza and other restaurants that deliver food need them. Brick and mortar stores rely on them to both receive inventory as well as to connect their stores with customers. UPS and FedEx both rely on roads to make deliveries. There are a lot of parties with vested interests in roads and since the various levels of government here in the United States aren't doing a proper job of maintaining them, these vested interests are having to step up to the plate.
Now we know who will build the roads in the absence of government. Statism's last remaining argument has thus been thoroughly destroyed.
