He then clarifies that action is not the same as expressed intent. Far too often people express a less satisfactory state of affairs and an intent to move towards a more satisfactory state of affairs but don't actually take action.
When it comes to physical fitness, discipline is usually discussed in the context of doing the work. There is another side to discipline though. The discipline to do less.
When I look at the food pyramid published by the USDA, I can't help but think that the US government wants its people to be obese. The foundation of the pyramid is carbohydrates. It should be protein.
